After 7 years of false starts interspersed between travel and the accumulation of essential experience,I have put myself finally in a studio. I’m working on panels in mixed media, deriving surfaces from organic pattern inspired by natural systems, organisms and biological processes. I am using the properties of particular materials to emulate these patterns as closely as possible, succeeding in drawing with the phenomena of the materials in combination with evaporation, deposition, erosion, among other things, organized by constructed topographies and governed by gravity.
